Review Queries
Thank you for considering me as a reviewer for your book. I have been working in author promotions for a few years now and I appreciate all the work that goes into promoting books. To save your time and mine, I figured I would write up a review policy.
Ebooks
The subject of reviewing ebooks is usually the first to come up, so I thought I would cover it first.
I now have a wonderful ereader, but too many ebooks to catch up on. For now, I am not accepting ebook review copies.
Location
I live in Australia. Please keep postage and handling in mind when querying, as I am only accepting print copies at this time.
Preferred Genres
Currently, I am only accepting these genres for review:
*Romance – contemporary, historical, paranormal
*Paranormal/Urban Fantasy – Pretty much anything that falls into those categories but isn’t also horror
*Erotica – I am an erotica-friendly reviewer except for incest themes and water sports
If I am offered something and am not particularly interested in it, I will pass on the offer to my husband. His special interests are science fiction and cosmos/mythology/philosophy books.
The Review
I appreciate the struggle of an author to not only write but to also promote his/her books. I doubly appreciate those who are willing to pay for postage to send copies of books to me. But this does not mean an instant good review. Period.
There is no ‘you owe me a good review because I sent you a copy’ or anything of the sort. I am an honest woman with opinions like anyone else, and my good opinion cannot be bought. If you cannot handle possible bad reviews, then this is not the place to have your books reviewed.
The good news is I am very passionate and enthusiastic about books I love.
