One day when I sit down, pen and paper in hand, or keyboard and fingers in motion, I’m going to write a memoir and I’m only going to include the habits of the various roommates I have had in my lifetime. I use that term loosely because some of the folks that I identify as former roommates wouldn’t actually even qualify in my book as friends now.

As I was making my move out of my last divorce and I need a place to live and I needed a safe place to lie my head at night. Finding roommates in small towns usually doesn’t prove to be too difficult. It’s as easy as finding an old high school friend and a place to camp out.

But, in one of the largest cities, finding a roommate just simply doesn’t happen like that. There was a time after my last marriage as I was on the hunt that I sure could have used a service like Easy Roommate.

Instead, I ended up rooming with someone that at least is good for giving my present husband and I some good laughs. Honestly, I can’t imagine how tough it might be even now, ten years later. The habits of that one particular roommate would really be more horrible now than it was then.
